Food & Beverage Manager, Patrick King (below left) and his brother, Ambassador of Cool and Head Chef Dan King (below right), opened Blues & Greens in the Fall of 2008, with a vision of creating Boulder's unique Vegetarian and Down-Home dining experience. In addition, they created a place where both visitors and locals could meet to enjoy a beverage and a fine meal while being entertained by some of the best local and national purveyors of the blues. The location has come to be known as BOULDER'S HOME OF THE BLUES
By pooling their vast culinary experience, Dan and Pat began producing some of the best tasting and nutritious entrées made from locally grown products. As a natural extension of the Boulder's First Zero-Waste Hotel (The Boulder Outlook Hotel & Suites), they observe all the practices of recycling by composting waste and using compostable carry-out containers.
Patrick has enlarged his garden to produce a bounty of herbs and spices as well as a few veggies to compliment the dishes on the menu. Each day a new Roadhouse Special is offered ranging from Mom's Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes to Hearty Hungarian Goulash to delight the palates of hungry diners.
The name of the restaurant signifies the marriage of music and sustainability. We offer that special combination of Down-Home atmosphere and delectable food.
